An integration of Primetime Medical Software’s Instant Medical History™ patient interview software with MediNotes’ Charting Plus Electronic Medical Record creates a first for an EMR:
direct population of EMR data elements using patient-supplied history information. “The interface allows patients to enter medical information electronically without using the traditional medical history form. This information is pulled into the patient chart and reviewed by the physician, reducing the overall effort required by the practice,” announced Don Schoen, CEO of MediNotes.
Instant Medical History is designed to gather medical history and chief complaint details prior to the encounter. Patients answer branching multiple-choice questionnaires online at home or at a kiosk in the practice. This information is brought into the data objects Charting Plus, saving an average of 4 minutes per encounter. “Instant Medical History has many positive effects on the physician’s practice,” says Matthew Ferrante, Primetime Medical Software president:
MediNotes Corporation has been a leader and innovative force in the electronic medical records industry since 1995. Currently over 3,200 physicians in more than 14 specialties have used Charting Plus™ to improve the documentation and efficiency of their practice.
